Eric Fumey created SE AVIATION.
Initially, the company settles in the family garage and occupies in Pontarlier a small area in the aeroclub hangar.
Sébastien Maginot (telecommunications engineer and former Dyn’Aero electricity department director) offers his knowledge in electricity and avionics.
AUPA commissions SE AVIATION to manufacture and sell MCR spare parts.
SE AVIATION moves closer to the airfield and hires Lydie as an assistant and storekeeper, dealing also with the administrative side of things.
Serge, and David are recruited by SE AVIATION as mechanic and composite material specialist (wings, elevators,…) respectively.
SE AVIATION keeps growing and starts the MCR EVOLUTION project.
During AEROEXPO 2017 in Friedrichshafen, the company presents the first MCR ULC EVOLUTION
Thanks to the support of private investors, Eric Fumey creates SE AVIATION AIRCRAFT and buys both the rights and intellectual property linked to the MCR
This means, from then on, SE AVIATION AIRCRAFT has the ownership of the designs, moulds, tools, stocks and navigability of the MCR family. Additionally, this opened up the possibility to sell new kits, to promote the MCR family (trade shows, website, flyers, press…) and to improve and modify the existing systems (Rotax 915iS engine installation, canopy locking system, electrical flap system, tow bar, new seats….)
The construction of a new hangar on Pontarlier airfield is approved.
After 18 months of development, the first MCR 4S Evolution with a Rotax 915iS engine takes to the air for the first time. Others will follow.
The company moves into its new hangar and celebrates its opening with MCR owners and fans.
There are 4 employees and SE AVIATION has reconnected with the Portuguese team specialised in composite manufacturing for MCR.
In Ponte de Sor, 2 full-time employees restart a production unit.
Despite the health crisis created by covid19, SE AVIATION AIRCRAFT make good progress and receives orders for 6 new MCR aircraft (MCR 4S Evolution with Rotax 915iS, MCR Pick-up Evolution ,…)
The company hires new employees and continues to improve existing MCR models.
On the innovation side, the trend is always to improve the various existing MCR models and also to innovate, more precisely with a partnership between SE AVIATION AIRCRAFT and AVIATHOR to develop the future electrical MCR 4S.
