SE AVIATION GROUP signs contract with DGA 

Le Bourget, 17 june 2025 – As part of the Paris Air Show 2025 (SIAE 2025), Éric FUMEY, Chairman of SE AVIATION GROUP, has signed a contract with the French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA) for the evaluation of the DRIADE UAV, an autonomous M.A.L.E. reconnaissance and intervention system.

The contract was signed in the presence of the French Minister for the Armed Forces, Sébastien LECORNU, Emmanuel CHIVA, Delegate General for Armaments, and General Guilhem REBOUL, Engineer General for Armaments. The contract covers the evaluation of DRIADE (defence version) for surveillance, reconnaissance and intervention missions.
“We are proud and honoured that the DGA has chosen DRIADE. After six months of research and development, the signing of this contract is a major milestone for our teams”, said Éric FUMEY.

Presented publicly for the first time at SIAE 2025, the DRIADE prototype (MSN-01) will make its maiden flight in September 2025. The DGA will take delivery of the MSN-02 at the end of 2025.

With this 100% European UAV, the SE AVIATION GROUP is confirming its commitment to innovation and the EU’s technological sovereignty in the UAV sector.

 

About DRIADE
The DRIADE UAV is an innovative multi-mission system capable of carrying out search and rescue (SAR) missions, maritime and border surveillance, ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance), environmental surveillance (forest fires) and, thanks to its six points of carriage under the wings, DRIADE is airdrop capable.
With 400 litres of fuel (100LL or SP98) and a fuel consumption of 10 l/h, it has up to 36 hours of range and has a cruising speed of almost 300 km/h. Its MTOW (Maximum Take-Off Weight) of 820 kg allows it to carry a payload of 166 kg (in addition to the fuel). With an operational ceiling of 8,500 m (28,000 ft), it’s radar C-RANGER 200 from DIADÈS MARINE can monitor up to 15,000 km2/hour.
