The start of the new season is often a chance to take a moment to look back. Since the beginning of 2026, SE Aviation Aircraft, the MCRs and the DRIADE programme have regularly been featured in the aviation press, both in France and abroad.
Online articles, test reports, feature pieces and, above all, magazine covers: as we head back to the hangars after the summer break, we’d like to offer you an overview of the main press coverage from the past few months.

The MCR-4S Evolution getsheadline coverage!
his year, the MCR-4S Evolution didn’t just make a name for itself: it also landed on the front pages of two major European aviation magazines!
The MCR-4S Evolution received extensive coverage in the European press in 2026. In June, Info-Pilote featured it on its front page, along with a detailed test report on this latest development of SE Aviation Aircraft’s four-seater. Two months later, the MCR-4S crossed the Rhine to appear, this time on the cover of the August issue of the German magazine Aerokurier, which also took an interest in the aircraft and its latest developments.
Two magazine features and two test flights a few weeks apart, first in France and then in Germany: a fine reward for the MCR-4S Evolution, but also significant visibility among European pilots. These publications demonstrate the continued interest in the four-seater and the attention paid to its development, more than twenty years after the first MCR-4S models appeared.

The DRIADE programin the specialized press
DRIADE is not to be outdone. The demonstration flight carried out on 21 January in Pontarlier in front of the French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA) attracted the interest of several aviation and defence media outlets.

“DRIADE completes an autonomous flight in front of the DGA”
AeroMorning provides a detailed account of this demonstration, during which DRIADE, in OPV configuration with a safety pilot on board, automatically carried out take-off, one hour of flight, its return to the airfield, its approach and its landing, without any human intervention at the controls.
“The Driade M.A.L.E. drone flew in front of the DGA”
Aerobuzz places this demonstration within the context of France’s “low spectrum” MALE drone programme. The publication notes in particular that SE Aviation is one of the five manufacturers selected by the DGA and highlights the level of maturity achieved by DRIADE through this fully automated flight.

‘MALE drone: DRIADE takes flight under the eyes of the DGA’
In the wake of Aerobuzz, Air & Cosmos, France’s leading aerospace publication, has also turned its attention to this major milestone. The article examines the drone’s capabilities, its announced 36-hour endurance, its payload and its various potential missions, ranging from maritime and border surveillance to ISR missions, as well as search and rescue and environmental monitoring.

On 18 June, Opex360 – Zone Militaire also mentioned DRIADE in an article on the development of the new French MALE drones. The publication notes that SE Aviation is one of the five manufacturers selected by the DGA to develop this new generation of MALE drones.
